Demi Lavato cancelled her tour with the Jonas Brothers and is heading to rehab… for reasons that no one really knows… but from searching the internet this week a lot of bloggers are saying it’s hollywood’s fault that Demi is heading for rehab… close friends to Lavato have said she’s entered rehab for emotional and physical issues that have been with her all her life.. her name might sounds familiar to you… shes starred in disney’s camp rock…. And she’s also dated a jonas brother…
I go through a few tooth brushes every year… but don’t throw yours away next time you’re finished using it to clean your pearly whites…… there’s some other ways to put it to work… When a sponge can’t cut it, grab a toothbrush. It can clean a host of diverse items and small or hard-to-reach areas and crevices. Use a toothbrush to clean… the small spaces in your computer keyboards… can opener blades and those tight spots in and around your oven…. Another use for them.. To remove those deep stains, try using a soft-bristled nylon toothbrush, dabbing it gently to work in the stain-removing agent (bleach or vinegar, for example) until the stain is gone. Here's a few more ideas for you: Before cooking shucked corn, take an old toothbrush and gently rub down the ear to brush away the remaining clingy strands of silk. Then you won’t have to brush them out from between your teeth after you eat the corn!
A clean, soft toothbrush is just the right utensil to clean crumbs and burned batter from the nooks and crannies of a waffle iron. Use it to spread oil evenly on the waffle iron surface before the next use too.
I’ve found myself racing to find a bathroom a few times… a new app released in the iphone app store… that uses your location to bring up a map of the nearest public bathrooms… It’s called “Can’t Wait” and is available for iPhone and Android users… and it also brings up the name, location and hours the bathroom is open… But is there really such a demand for this app? Yes.. the company that designed that app says about 78 per cent of Canadians with inflammatory bowl disease stay home because they fear they won’t know where to find a public bathroom should they need one. It’s a disappointing statistic, especially considering 200,000 Canadians are affected by it.
Lil Wayne was released from Rikers Island prison yesterday around 9am!!! After his release he Tweeted:, Twitter: "aaaaaaahhhhhhmmmmm baaaaakkkkkkkkkk." After his release he posted a pic of him smoking a cigar!
A while ago I heard rumblings that New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys were going to get together and go on tour! Well it was finally announced this week… It's going to happen.... The only detail for now is that they will be kicking off a joint U.S Tour sometime this summer. If you want to see them before then, you can watch them perform together November 21st at this year's American Music Awards…..

Perez Hilton seems to be having a change of heart when it comes to posting hurtful gossip on his website… he appeared on the ellen degeneres show earlier last week and promised to be…. Nicer.. He admitted that he is a changed man... He said, quote, "I'm gonna do things differently on my website than I have in the past. I'm not gonna call people nasty nicknames. I'm not gonna go the mean route." He also took to You Tube and promised to be nicer....
38th annual American music awards were held last week… and a big congrats to Eminem and Lady Antebellum for the most nominations with 5 each!!! Justin Bieber came in with 4 and Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Usher, and B.O.B came in with 3 each. Vancouver currently going bonkers for Bieber… he landed in the city earlier last week in preparation for his show at Rogers Arena on October 19th.. Many radio stations and fans have been trying to keep tabs on him… some fans who have found out his previous where-abouts… one fan phoned into the studio where he was recording some tunes and heard him in the background singing… other running frantically through the streets of Vancouver searching for a glimpse of the teen idol… there are some fans taking their love for bieber to twitter… @JoelXK so far has been keeping the most tabs on biebz..
Another Hollywood couple heading for splittsville.. Christina Aguilera has made it official.... She filed for divorce yesterday from Jordan Bratman. Her papers say they've been separated since September 11th.....She's seeking joint physical and legal custody of their son Max. hopefully they signed a pre-nup!
Bill O`Reilly sure can piss off people.. Bill O'Reilly was a guest on "The View" yesterday, and when he said that "Muslims killed us on 9/11," Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar walked off the set, the audience went craaaaazy, and Babs was POed! When Whoopi and Joy left, Barbara made the crowd settle down and lectured Whoopie and Joy. Then Barbara Walters referenced O'Reilly's new book and said she's not sure whether he's a "pinhead" or a "patriot."
Rapper TI is heading back to the slammer for 11 months for violating his parole… during a traffic stop last month in LA, discovered drugs on him and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle. Dumbass..

The heat in Kamloops has been intense the past few days... It got up to +37C here the other day and the forecast is calling for more warm temps... Not good for the forest fires in the area. The heat + smoke is going to make for some uncomfortable days ahead...

He could barely answer the questions! guess next time President Obama should watch the view before going on ;-)
Ellen Degeneres is leaving American Idol. She just posted the following statement on her website:
"A couple months ago, I let FOX and the "American Idol" producers know that this didn't feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn't leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.” I liked watchin Ellen on Idol but from what I’ve heard not everyone feels the same way… And Ellen isn’t the only judge leaving after this season.. Kara Dioguardi has also been said not to be returning for the upcoming season… So who will replace her? People Magazine is claiming that Jennifer Lopez will be replacing Kara on the show! AND GossipCop.com is saying that Steven Tyler from Aerosmith will take Simon's seat.... So for now it looks like the new panel will be Randy Jackson, J-Lo, and Steven Tyler!!
Lindsay Lohan has headed to jail… she was sentenced to 90 days.. But we all know she’ll get less than a month for quote good behavour…. All the stars get that special treatment.. Wont be long before she’s back on the streets partying till 5am and arrested for another DUI…

JTRS Notes – Week #17
Summer is just a few weeks away. I'm not sure where you live... but in Kamloops we've been getting nothing but rain. As I'm typing this, the sky is trying to clear up but there are some dark clouds in the distance. Maybe you're having better weather then me? If you are I'm very jelous.. I'm ready for summer 2010! Bring it on!
So.. Lee DeWyze is the newest american idol… and as usual… fans of AI are upset because they think Crystal Bowersocks was the real winner… but the title of American Idol 2010 went to Lee… What do you think??? Post your reaction on the comments section below this blog post...
Beyonce is being sued! She’s being sued by a guy who claims his daily routine was turned upside down by a film crew shooting a Beyonce music video for "Why Don't You Love Me." Philip Markowitz has said his peace and quiet was shattered back in march when the film crew "invaded his neighborhood" ... waking him out of a peaceful sleep at 7 AM. he claims he missed several business calls while arguing in his driveway… poor baby….
- I am certainly not sorry to see Simon Cowell leave american idol… There is only one person who could replace Simon Cowell on "American Idol" ... someone famous, someone critical, and someone with a penchant for tight clothing ... someone like Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest knows the show -- he knows the music -- and he has a great rapport with the rest of the judges. Plus, it would be way easier to plug in a new host than force another awkward, unfamiliar person to sit at the judges' table .... we're talkin' about you, Kara!
Whatchu talking about, CNN? That's the thought I had when I heard Gary Coleman passed away.. He's one of the most well known child actors… died earlier last week… he succumbed to an unknown injury… which caused a brain hemorrhage…. Rest in peace.. Gary!
A video surfaced this week of a kid…. Oh yeah.. So what…. You’re thinking.. A kid.. Well the kid is smoking! And it’s not his first time smoking.. He smokes up to 40 ciggs a day… I blame his father….. Lady Gaga is not a fan of "American Idol" right now bc they edited her performance of "Alejandro," which aired on Wednesday night's episode (which was was pre-taped). She posted a message on her Twitter saying, "Fox POORLY + AMATEURLY edited [and] cut my performance / musical arrangement on 'Idol'. You can watch the entire performance.. unedited... below...
Conan O'Brien went on 60 Minutes last weekend... He talked about: When he realized it was over at NBC, how he felt after being screwed over by Jay Leno and NBC, if he saw any of it coming, regrets, if he thought Jay acted honerably, and of course his new show. I feel kinda bad for Conan.. Yeah, he may have millions of dollars, but he’s no longer on TV... NOT! He’ll be returning to late nite TV later this year on TBS.. Actor Robert Downey Jr. returns as billionaire super-hero Tony Stark, along with his faithful assistant Pepper Potts played by Gwyneth Paltrow. This time they are joined by new cast members Don Cheadle, who replaces Terrence Howard from the first film, Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell as the film's villains and Scarlett Johansson as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Black Widow. Once again, the film is directed by Jon Favreau and actor Samuel L. Jackson also returns as S.H.I.E.L.D. leader Nick Fury. The original Iron Man, grossed $98 million in it's opening weekend in 2008 and went on to earn over $300 million world wide. It's a foregone conclusion that Iron Man 2 will be atop the box office charts this weekend but the big question that remains is just how much money will it earn?

Not a fan of the refs in the past few games... they’ve been calling every penalty they can against the canucks... and barely any against Chicago.. oh well.. maybe next year.. right?

Show #14 Notes
It's been a busy couple of weeks on my end. Lots of crap happening at work including people not showing up for their shifts and some just not showing up at all which is making for some very, very long days! But Overtime pay rules!!
In a recent interview Lindsay Lohan said she doesn't get why people hate on her.... As for her partying, she said, quote, "I don't know why I am such a target, but I think there's a big misconception of who I am as a person. It's a very build-you-up-to-take-you-down industry, and I am working hard. Lindsay also release a video this week just to show how hard she really does work....
It was only a matter of time before Jessie James was to crack and finally talk about what happened... He typed up a letter and has address it to his fans and of course, Sandra... Here's the letter in it's entirity...
My whole life has been full of hard decisions. The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart.
Sandy is the love of my life, but considering the pain and devastation I have caused her, it would be selfish to not let her go. Right now it is time for me to beat this addiction that has taken two of the things I love the most in life."
"I have always taken great pride in proving people wrong. That time has come once again to show that I am not what everyone says I am. I know in my heart that I can be the best father possible to my four children, and the mate Sandy deserves, and realize that this is an incredible mountain to climb. Bret Michaels seems to be on the mend.. It wasn’t looking good for the poison lead singer last week... He was upgraded to critical condition but at least he’s stable... A person close to Michaels posted on his facebook page, "Test results indicate a setback in Bret Michaels condition. A side effect from the brain hemorrhage called hyponatremia, a lack of sodium in the body which leads to seizures." And to rush things even furher.. Bret’s tour manager has said he think Bret will get well soon enough to start his tour next month...
Sandra Bullock has a new man in her life... and it's a 3½-month-old boy, born in New Orleans, named Louis Bardo Bullock!!!! The story is Sandra and Jesse started the adoption process about 4 years ago and they were able to bring Louis home in January... for some reason they decided to keep it quiet until after the Oscars... Then of course the whole Jesse James cheating on Sandra thing happened.... Bullock says she is now adopting as a single parent... Here's a picture of her new baby boy!
Tito Ortiz was arrested last week for allegedly beating up his girlfriend...Jenna Jameson.... So far what has come out is a bunch of he/she said. Tito Ortiz and his attorney claim Jenna Jameson is addicted to Oxycontin -- and they say that's what led to the incident ... Jenna is saying that she said something to bruise his ego and that's what led to the incident. He denied putting his hands on Jenna, and apparently tried to be cute by telling reporters that he was only going with the cops because, quote, "I'm gonna show 'em jiu-jitsu.".. being cute with cops??? Sorry, Tito... only works if you’re a famous porn star.. which your girlfriend is... but you’re not...
Chris Brown has trying to get on everyone’s good side since he was charged with assaulting his ex-Rihanna last year... and him walking off air during an interview wasn’t the best idea to “make things good” again... Kash the on air host was interviewing Brown when they both got into an argument over the station not playing his latest song... a few words were exchanged and Brown left in a huff... to make things worse.. Kash was suspended for later mocking Brown for walking out on him on air... Oy Vey.
Google seems to be taking over the world! They’re already the number one search engine in the world... and with the release of their Android phone OS... is only making Google much more widely used... Google is set to release plans that will bring the internet to your TV screen... Google is expected to break the news next month during their I/O conference... So not only will you be able to watch your favourite TV show.. you’ll be able to search, wave, talk, and if you’re feelin’ really lucky... check your email all at the same time...

Are you shocked that Tiger didn’t even make the top 3 position at the masters last week? Barely made the top 10... guess all this attention is making poor ole tiger a not so good golfer.. apparently tiger has written to Jesse James.... Here's the letter:
You Stupid Bastard! You cheated on Sandra Bullock?
How in the world can you be so stupid? You are married to one of the most beautiful women in the world; she has a body to die for, and her current wealth and predicted wealth is shadowed only by Oprah, who even Steadman will tell you, isn't attractive.
But your wife, who recently beat out Julia Roberts in the polls and is now the named "America's Sweetheart"; you also remember she just won an Oscar (which translates to more money per picture she makes in the future)...while you were shacking with that tattooed freak, who just happens to be a former stripper and is someone's mommy.
You are really a piece of work! You are the most hated a**hole cheater on the planet! And while the State of California is a no-fault state whereby you may be able to take half of your wife's wealth, in doing so you would only be hated even more...especially after Sandra's speech during the Oscars in which she did nothing but praise you. How can you live with yourself after she even cared for your children?
I only have one thing to say to a despicable, miserable, cheating piece of crap that you are:

RadarOnline.com is reporting that Elin Woods visited a divorce lawyer before she left for Scottsdale, Arizona over the weekend... she went to Arizona to take a vacation... which is fine... except it was a vacay away from her husband Tiger Woods. Apparently she was upset that Tiger made his return to golf so soon, instead of trying to repair their relationship. That made her realize that he's not serious about changing his ways.
Jessica Simpson allowed herself to be photographed without makeup and without the aid of Photoshop, for the new issue of "Marie Claire" magazine. And she actually doesn’t look that bad at all!
Rihanna will be touring with Ke$ha this summer... plenty of tour dates set for Canada and the US... so if you have a mortgage payment you can skip this year, The Last Girl on Earth tour kicks off on July 2nd in Seattle...and runs through August 25th in Chicago.

Boo-erns, Technology!
So you may notice the show this week is not new. I do apologize for that. After fighting with Windows Vista for 2 days, I finally managed to get Adobe Audition 3.0 to install and properly run... Along with a few other essential programs. Had to disable 'Windows Installer' and then changed the settings to manually start 'Windows Installer' when needed. Won't be able to produce a show for next week as it's ...almost 11pm and work comes early tomorrow morning. I officially hate Windows Vista..... But, enjoy a re-run of show from weeks past!

April 1st is a day for pranksters to run wild in the streets and even replace your sugar with salt for your morning coffee.. Some of the best April Fools pranks I heard of… YouTube announced that you would be able to watch videos in text mode.. who cares about HD when you can watch your videos in text. You can opt to watch a video in TEXT or text only mode. Pretty neat…. Google even had a temporary name change… to topeka… Google always good for a laugh on Aprils Fools Day..

Tiger woods is very thankful to Jessie James for pulling the media away from him.. for now at least… Vanity Fair.. wrote a huge article on tiger and has a few wild stories.. One story comes from Mindy Lawton (one of Tiger's many hoe's) she said that Tiger called her in 2007 for sex at 5:30 in the morning ... but here is the sketch part... it was that time of the month and wanted it anyway... in the parking lot of a church!!! Mindy also claims that Tiger was a cheap-o... the only thing he bought her was a chicken wrap....
Lindsay Lohan and George Lopez have gotten into a Twitter fight..... There are pictures that surfaced of Lindsay with white powder all over her feet and as a joke George said on his show that the ... "metric ton of white powder on her foot" was from her "allegedly" snorting cocaine." Lindsay heard this and was not happy she took to her Twitter and had this to say... Thanks for the childish comment regarding baby powder in my shoes to loosen up the leather. Don't you have kids? U wouldn't wanna hear that about them, or would you? Act like a grown man, have some respect and dignity for yourself." George didn't really fight back ... except for saying that he would stop talking about her if she came on his show.. He said, "Let's take this off Twitter . . . Come on the show . . . I've met you before and don't have anything against you. You want me to stop talking about you I will . . . Come and tell me . . . To my face . . . I'll stop!! Respectfully." So looks like LiLo will be on his show next week.

Pillaging boats, villages and walkin with a peg leg cant be comfortable… but Johnny Depp has made quite a bit of cash off of the Pirate of the Caribbean movie franchise… Apparently people are so gullible to believe JD is a real pirate that he’s renting out his yatch this summer… Wanna wear an eye patch and walk the plank like a real pirate this summer? Johnny Depp's private yacht Vajoliroja is available for charter this summer for a whopping $130,000 per week! The 156 ft. yacht has accommodations for 10 guests and a crew of 8 as well as a formal dining room, an outdoor seating area, a master suite, four guest cabins and a library. Now that's a summer vacation we can get on board with! But do U think it's too costly? I sure do! I can't even afford extra fancy chocolate for Easter, nevemind a week on JD's private yatch!
Facebook, twitter and even youtube has been buzzing lately with iPad jokes… One of the most common stabs at the iPad is that it sounds like a female hygene product… got a stab from my friend ryan ‘my girlfriend is on the iPad’… The iPad: Protecting your data from embarrassing incidents. Uncomfortable cramping and bloating? There’s an app for that. If I order an iPad, will my boyfriend and I have to worry if it arrives late? Mac’s iPad. Say it with me, folks. Maxipad. I heard that for one week out of every month the iPad will be unresponsive and seem harsh when you touch it. All jokes aside the iPad looks like a pretty cool gadget.. and if you plan on getting one.. you’ll be happy to know So the iPad has two data plans: Light Flow and Heavy Flow.

Usually when the words ‘Cheating’ and ‘Hollywood’ you rolls your eyes and think about the typical couples we’ve heard of over the years.. and most of the time it leads to a nasty divorce where the blood sucking cheater milks their soon to be significant other for as much cash as possible. Earlier this week a Montreal woman Michelle Bombshell McGee came out of the woodwork and claimed she had a year long relationship with Jesse James. You might recognize that name… he’s married to Sandra Bullock! Now this claim has yet to be determined to be true or not as of yet.. but I’m going on the bullshit side of things. Mainly because Bombshell McGee has said she grew up Amish until the age of 16… and now.. she’s covered in tattoos, has a feature profile on an adult webcam site… And also this week Jessie apologized to his wife Sandra for cheating on her twice during their five year marriage with a California model and with bombshell mcgee… Sandra has moved out of their California home which is a good signal they’re heading for splittsville…
According to a recent report out of the UK, Simon Cowell has become a huge target for Cyber criminals. And, Cowell has now called upon the FBI to help him find out who is leaking songs and content within his record label, Syco. Last Summer, upcoming songs from Alexandre Burke and Leona Lewis were leaked in advanced of the actual release date which resulted in a huge loss of profit. This isn’t new in the music business unfortunately.. There are people out there that are willing to make a quick buck or two by leaking work from recording companies from around the world. In this age of iPhones and teency tiny tech toys getting your hands on leaked materials gets easier and easier. A good way to avoid people leaking music and courting a huge profit loss, just release the music as it’s completed. Rather than waiting for months to put the CD in stores…
Wasn’t it just a few week ago we were all talking about how Tiger Woods was going to quote take his time to get back into golf? It appears a few months of “therapy” and a break from golf has given him a lot of time to think about what he has done to his family. And, apparently he’s ready to get back on the green. companies are lining up to fill up his pockets with sponsorship cash and CBS is glowing with the face they’re going to be pulling in the ratings cuz everyone wants to see how Tiger will play. It’s also nice to see Tiger’s wife Elin has been kind enough to return his clubs, even though they may be a bit bent from the late night charade from a few months back. The week long golf spectacular known as the Masters set to take place next month starting April 5th
Hundreds of people including fans and family gathered in Toronto last week to say their final goodbyes to Corey Haim. New reports coming out are saying Haim was taking up to 85 pills a day…. The coroners report detailing what really killed Haim is expected to be released over the next few weeks…
It’s everyone’s worst nightmare – you’re on stage at a big event and your shirt rips exposing your boob or for a guy – you walk the wrong way and your pants split open…. Just hope you’re not going commando that day! Katherine Hy-gle one of the stars of Greys Anatomy had a “wardrobe malfunction” of her own…. She was on stage accepting Female Award of the Year at the ShoWest Awards when her dress strap suddenly broke.. She caught the strap in time from permanently imprinting her boob on the internet… She was definitely red faced and thanked Billy Bush who fixed her up in time to finish her speech..

Ben Stiller as Na'ViThe Hurt Locker cleaned up at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards last night! Everyone was buzzing about how Avatar was going to win big, but that wasn't the case. I was secretly waiting for Kayne West to barge on stage when The Hurt Locker was given the Oscar for best picture. "Imma gonna let you finish Kathryn Bigelow, but James Cameron directed the best movie of all time - of all time!"
But, of course that didn't happen.

Jay Leno took back the reigns of the Tonight Show and so far it’s proving to be the right choice by NBC. Over the last week, Jay’s ratings have sky rocketed through the roof getting about 6 million viewers each night.. Is it just a fluke? Or is Jay back on top? I’ll definitely keep you posted… But don’t expect to see Conan O’brien back on TV anytime soon… he’s forbidden to appear on TV for another 7 months..
The Canadian government surprised many that it wants Parliament to consider changes to the national anthem to make it gender sensitive. And after a public outcry, the Government wont be changing the anthem after all. The line in question… “In all thy sons command” It’s sad to see the government so concerned about changing the national anthem rather than balance the national debt.
Can you imagine a world where we all don’t have to worry about what we eat and how it’s making us live forever? Juno Award Nominees were announced earlier last week… The Junos are the equivalent of the Grammy’s in the US… Some of the big Canadian names nominated this year.. Drake and Justin Bieber… Drake.. is up for best new artist of the year.. and pulls a double in the Rap Recording of the year for Best I ever had and still fly.. Justin Bieber has three nominations… album of the year for My World.. and pop album of the year for my world as well.. The war on which social networking site is the most popular and earning the most cash is widening for now… Facebook’s revenue for 2010 is expected to hit over a billion dollars. One billion dollars? Pole Dancing: An Olympic Sport?
The London 2012 summer Olympics are said to be one of the best summer games in the history of the games…. And a new addition we’ll see during the summer games in London is BMX biking. A group of Pole Dancers were inspired by the moment that successfully added to the summer Olympics and are trying to get ‘Vertical Dance’ added. On an online petition started by the Pole Dance group it says quote ‘Pole Dance/Vertical Dance is acrobatic, gymnastic, technical and takes a great deal of physical skill and strength to master, earning it a place in the greatest sporting event in the world. Ellen made her debut on American Idol a few weeks ago to rave reviews, but it appears now that Simon and Ellen are not getting a long. Ellen can't stand what she believes is Simon's cruelty toward contestants. And apparently from sources inside the Idol camp are saying Simon is actually enjoying pissing Ellen off with his intense critiques. Could it be this is all a put on for ratings? Ratings for American Idol and Ellen’s own show have sky rocketed since news broke out about their possible off camera fued but the tension between the two is only getting worse… which makes me think Simon’s trying to make everyone on American Idol miserable before his departure from the show next season.
Hillary Duff has been walking around with her brand new engagement ring over the past few days… The ring is worth a lot of cash…. The Winter Olympics in Vancouver were a success. Millions of people from all around the world spent time enjoying the different venues, restaurants and exploring the best place on earth known as British Columbia… Besides the warm weather and the horrible accident that ended in the Geogian luger losing his life the games in Vancouver/Whistler have been pretty good…. The summer Olympics coming up in 2012 will be held in London, but if you can’t wait that long for another Olympics, how about the Youth Summer Olympics? We hear of survey’s that make ourselves scratch our heads in disbelief.. but this one takes the cake… A British survey found that one in four women said she'd rather be a man. 15% said when they battle mood swings they want to be male. 9% said they think men have it easier physically. A whopping 87% said they never felt at ease with the physical changes to their body during puberty but overall the survey found that women still love being women because they can express their emotions…..

Did you survive Valentine ’s Day this year? Maybe you were one of the millions of people who decide to propose to their significant other…. And hopefully your partner said ‘Yes’. There are a few brave people in this world who take proposing to the extreme… like proposing infront of thousands of people at a baseketball game on live TV…

Trying to get around to different venues around Vancouver and Whistler may be difficult, but try pushing a buggy through a busy grocery store on mid afternoon on a weekday. Last week while I attempted to shop last week while pushing my buggy I could barely fit through the isles as a majority of them were jammed full of people…. Trying to push their own shopping buggies… I came close to hitting a few participants, but was later disqualified budging in the check out line…. Buggy pushing to become an Olympic sport? I think so.
Tiger Woods is set to publicly apologize for his sexcapades and will be discussing his future plans this Friday. Unfortunately only a group of his close media friends are to attend the "Press Conference" and the statement he is to give will be prepared in advance. It really seems like a PR stunt more than anything to me. Would’ve been more interesting if Tiger would make the “apology” on say jerry springer.. at least they could have had Elin.. Tigers “wife” come out with a golf club for a few more swings…

Ellen makes her debut as the new judge on 'American Idol'
The reviews are in and it appears everyone likes Ellen on American Idol as the newest Judge. Here’s what some of the media is saying about Ellen’s debut on American Idol.. MTV said she provided exactly what the panel lacked in the past -- a strong, confident voice of reason with the right combination of humour and useful advice.” And the new york times saying she was witty both in her embraces and her take downs. I saw the first few episodes with Ellen as the new judge and can honestly say she’s a welcomed addition to the show!
Starting a rumour stating that Brad and Angelina are getting divoriced probably not the best thing to do. Now, Brad and Angelina are suing the UK’s News of the World after they published a story stating Brad and Angelina had hired a high powered attorney to divide their assets and split custody of their kids. They’ve asked for the paper to print an apology but they’ve declined to do so…. Brad and Angelina were spotted at the superbowl trying to suck each others face off so looks like for now… they’re still together…

The Australian Olympic team is outraged that the International Olympic Committee is requesting they remove the 'Boxing Kangaroo' from their building in the Athletes Village where over 42,000 athletes from around the world are staying during the Winter Olympic in Vancouver which begin 7 days from today. Superbowl SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!
It doesn't matter if you like football, everyone watches the Superbowl either just for something to watch, the commercials for maybe you like the game. Either way, millions of people will turn their TV sets to the Superbowl this Sunday. Unlike other years, I haven't heard much buzz this week. I don't know who's performing in the half time or even which teams are playing. I'm secretly hoping for another wardrobe malfunction, but the half time shows have been "dumbed" down since that fiasco with Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson.
With a little digging I just found out 'The Who' are performing during the half time show and the Colts will take on the Saints. Go Saints!

Apple Releases 'iPad'
Steve Jobbs announced today that the iPad is going to change the way people use computers. I thought the iPhone was supposed to do that? Well, it certainly did for me! It has a nearly 10-inch screen, runs existing apps from the Apple apps store and is available in 16-gigabyte, 32-gigabyte and 64-gigabyte version.... the basic version of the iPad will cost just over $500…. And you can also get an internet plan with the iPad.. which will cost about $130 per month… Would you buy it?
The world media is getting ready to focus on Vancouver next month for the Winter Games. All the venues are ready to be used, athletes are arriving in the city in preparation for the games. All Vancouver needs is a little snow on the mountains. The city has been plagued with warm temperatures since the start of the New Year. Olympic planners are currently bringing snow down from high elevations on the mountain. Snow or no snow, the games will kick off February 12th in Vancouver.

Goodbye, CoCo
Conan O’Brien signed off from the Tonight Show, not by choice last Friday. Only after 7 months, NBC and Conan parted ways because NBC wanted to push back Conans show half and hour to make way for Jay Leno. But, Conan said no and his depature was negotiated. He gets about $32 million dollars and $12 is split between his staff…
There are plenty of Hollywood stars falling off the face of the earth, and most of the time they’re the celebrities we don’t really care much about… But Andy Dick just keeps coming back for more… He was arrested last weekend and charged with two counts of sexual abuse. He's accused of grabbing a bouncer's crotch and groping and kissing a male patron at a bar in the US. He’s out of jail on a sixty thousand dollar bail…
It was amazing to see all the stars that participated in George Clooney’s Help For Haiti Now special last Friday and millions of people phoned in and raised over 57 million dollars for relief efforts in Haiti. Would you view a funeral via Webcast?
Today's Economy has hit a lot of people in the pocket book. And, funeralresource.co has created a whole new way to save on a funeral. Instead of your family gathering in a church or a funeral home to pay their last respects, the service to pay your last respects would be held online. All you would need is a high speed internet connection to attend the service.

But, this draws a line, in my opinion. Is it convience or a little creepy that a funeral service would be broadcast on the internet?

Whistler-Blackcomb in trouble?
I turned on the news this afternoon and was shocked to learn that Whistler-Blackcomb, which is owned by Intrawest will auctioned off Februrary 19th. Apparently, Intrawest missed a huge debt payment last fall. How much you say? Just over half a billion dollars. And, as of today Intrawest and the lenders are in talks to hopefully drag out the payments until late 2015. VANOC says their contract with Whistler-Blackcomb is still valid and expect the portion of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics to go on in Whistler with no problem. Still, with just under a month to go until the games it was a little scary hearing this news.
You buy gifts for birthdays, anniversaries and even the odd occasion, but would you but a gift for someone who has just been recently divorced? Well, believe it or not… its become the new thing to do…. But my question is how much would you spend on the gift and what exactly makes a good “congratulations you’ve been divorced” gift? Maybe some personal lube for those lonely, cold nights? Or a vibrator? I'd love to know what you would get someone who has been recently divorced...
Music festivals have been become huge over the past 20 years, but some of them are quickly fading away. When I lived in merritt last year, had the chance to attend the final merritt mountain music festival… don’t judge me for liking country music…. Just something you have to listen to when in the part of the country. And now another popular festival might not becoming back… In 2008.. the festival brought over 40,000 people to the small patch of farmland in a town just north of whistler, bc… and had acts like Cold play, Jay Z and Tom Petty.. The Pemberton Festival has been cancelled, again. Last year it was cancelled because the organizers couldn’t get permits to host the festival in the area quick enough. And this years’ festival was cancelled because it didn’t seem financially viable for the festival to take place.

Lookin' like a fool with your pants on the ground!
Did you catch American Idol earlier this week? If you did, you would know General Larry Platt's audition of his song 'Pants on the Ground' has gone viral. If not, here's your chance to see the video everyone has been talking about. I'm thinking this song will be remix, remastered and repayed on stations around the world sometime this week.

All parties at NBC have been in closed door meetings the past few days hoping to have a deal worked out before the weekend is out. The packaged deal Conan could walk away with is reported to be at over $40 million dollars. I would love to work for a company that paid me that much to "stop working" But, I also bought a Lotto Max last night. The jackpot was $10 million, but I did not win.
Big news out of China yesterday. Google is getting tired of censoring, so the company is thinking of pulling out of China ASAP. But that means other companies that are willing to 'censor' content in China will fill the void of Google, but will they?
Lots of cash has been raised for relief efforts in Haiti. There are still many Canadians missing. The last report I read was six dead with over 1400 missing. There are still many ways you can donate to the relief efforts. Come on, Canada! The US has raised over $11 million dollars so far! Dig out your cell phones, credit cards and start donating!

Friday Notes
What a gong show! The war of wards continued last night on soon-to-be-cancelled 'Jay Leno Show' last night with Jimmy Kimmel on as a guest. I don't think Jay realized he would even think about taking jabs about him vs. Conan. But, he did. It appears now that Jay will now be getting his 11:35pm time slot back, while Conan is left collecting a big pay cheque. I heard he'll be getting a nice $40 mil and will be able to persue other opportunities as NBC will be shreding up his so-called contract. Conan took a job at NBC last night putting 'The Tonight Show' on craigslist.
It's a sad thing to even think about, but there are people out there that want your donations you're making towards to Haiti relief efforts. Make sure you only donate to credited relief organiations.
You would think peope who are hired by NASA to build space ships and such would be drug free, right? WRONG! NASA officials found a bag of Cocaine in their HQ. Maybe one of the workers was jelous that he couldn't fly into space? But he was definately 'flying high' while working.
It's award show season! The Golden Globes will be broadcast around the world this Sunday. Are the Golden Globes better than the Oscars? Some think so..
